RETAIL STORE

Introducing the new retail store. The brief for this project was to create a new store for a high end brand based in Puerto Banus, Marbella. The brand in question; Dior, is a luxurious fashion brand with its heritage in 1950s France. The square meters and store dimensions are fixed.

The elegance of their stores comes from the Haussman architecture. With clean lines, geometric shapes and neutral colors, Dior aims for a unique, feminine and luxurious store design.

The contrast between the Haussman and the modern elegance are shown in my interpretation of a new dior store. Yin and Yang shapes the curvature of the walls, which gives the small store a harmonious circulation. The curved walls end up in a majestic imperial staircase that leads up to the first floor.

The symmetrical design makes it easy to orientate and gives the space harmony. On the first floor slab, the cut out circle emphasizes the ceiling height and gives space for an impressive chandelier. Arches and plaster facade makes a perfect blend between the brand's origin and the Mediterranean site. Luxurious, elegant and timeless!
